Bonbini to Aruba (1998)

Day 1: We flew out of Chicago on a charter flight direct to Aruba. It took only about 5-1/2 hours on this new Airbus A320. After we got through customs, we went to our hotel (Sonesta Suites) and checked in. The rooms were huge and right on the ocean. Then we went into the main town, Oranjestad (Orange Town).

Day 2: We laid out in the sun by the pool. Observed huge iguanas.

Day 3: We laid out in the sun by the pool. Observed huge iguanas.

Day 4: We took a Jeep tour around the island. It was interesting. Of course, our jeep broke down. We waited what seemed like hours for a replacement. 

Day 5: We laid out in the sun on a private-island beach owned by the hotel. Observed huge iguanas.

Day 6: We laid out in the sun on a private-island beach owned by the hotel. Observed huge iguanas.

Day 7: We laid out in the sun by the pool. Observed huge iguanas. Packed our bags. Flew home.
