4 meeting. This is mandatory. Or
fill them out at the "Final Meeting". Return to Dan Maly or Kurt Henry (both
have mail slots by the church office).

- Scheduled dates are Wed., January 11, 2012 to Sunday, January 15, 2012.
(See flights times below).
- A "Final Meeting" will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012 to make final
plans, cover details, gather forms, etc. This is a highly recommended
meeting, especially for first-time travelers.
- We're planning on 28 people this year.
- We will likely be building TWO doubles again. 14'5" x 30'4".
- We plan on staying in a hotel in El Paso each night (not the Mexican or
American churches).
- Although the cost per participant is $650.00 for Community Church members. You'll need an extra $100-200 for meals
and
incidentals.
(The real cost per person including building
materials is closer to $1,200.00. Community Reformed Church covers this
portion out of its Mission programs. If you were blessed this
year and can afford to pay more, your donations are always appreciated AND
tax deductable).
- Weather: this will be our twelfth trip. Weather can be anywhere from
brutal to pleasant. In 2008 & 2009 we worked in tee-shirts in the afternoon; in
2007 it never stopped raining, it was near freezing... brutal. Pack warm
gear!
- Actual Weather: Upper 20's at night; Upper 50's & 60's, sunny, daytime.
- Packing: (we will cover this more in depth
at a final meeting). Right now, you can bring one checked bag and one carry
on. THINK about duo-purpose packing; pack light (50 pounds comes fast).
Check the airlines' guidelines on line.
- Bring your trade-tools that you'll need (CpC provides tools on site but
in limited amounts).
- Check back here often for family information. As soon as we have (if we
get it)
we'll announce it. This is in case you want to bring a gift for the family
(soccer ball, kitchen items, games, clothes, etc.).
- Look over the CpC site below for more info, daily schedule, etc. Ask questions, attend meetings and help out at fund
raisers. It's a great trip... very rewarding. Thanks for going.
- DEPOSIT ($100) is due when you apply! Apply early; seats may fill fast.
Balances will be due by December 4, 2011.
- Print and fill out the forms on this page right away, as well. Turn these in to Dan Maly, Kurt Henry or
the church office. We need this for ticket information.
